Which teams are the Top Sports Franchises in the world?
This is a difficult question, in no small part because the major sports are all so different. Baseball, football, basketball, hockey, and soccer are all going to have radically different ways of measuring which franchises are the best, and it’s going to be difficult to compare these different sports teams to one another.

I remember seeing something a year or two ago that the Dallas Cowboys franchise is worth the most money with respect to player/personnel salaries, stadium value, tv rights, branding and merchandise. They were followed by Man U and then the NY Yank-mees, I mean Yankees. The Cowboys franchise was listed as worth something like $2.5 billion when you take into consideration all of those factors.
But one question, how did the Canadiens make the list and the Leafs didn’t? There isn’t a team in the NHL that makes anywhere near as much $$$ as the Leafs do.
Haha ya the leafs should have been on there too! It was more linked to Championships but you’re right, the worth of each franchise should be taken into consideration also.
