A Guest Post by Jack Squat…an athlete and avid reader of CoverGround.ca who just has a lot to say!

The owners of this site have been kind enough to give you all kinds of information on how to eat right. They get questions like “what should I eat before a race, is this food good for you”? From their experiences they have tried to let you know common errors they them selves have come across.

The problem is they are too nice! You are coming to this site for information, but do you follow it, no! Discipline is what you need. I know you know the difference between good food and crap. Here’s a quick primer, if it came in a box, was killed weeks ago, travelled over 200 km to get to you, asked if you want fries with that, super size, took less than 2 minuites from order to first bite…… news flash, it ain’t good for you!

If your really serious about your athletic performance, then you need to prepare the weekend before, not the day of! If your serious about your athletic career, and I think you are because your reading this, then do what’s necessary!

Oh! If you can’t keep your hand out of the cookie jar, or have visions of junk food commercials dancing in your head, then I have a simple, cheap solution for you. Duct tape! A little piece over your mouth before you go out will do wonders.

Remember if you killed it, you know it’s fresh!

Jack
