Everyone wants to be considered an animal, beast, or a MONSTER of their sport. You want to be the menace, the one athlete no one wants to face. The type of athlete that gets hurt and you can hear sighs of relief all over. I have a 4 part series to becoming that fearsome competitor.
The best athletes in the game like Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan, and the 8 gold medal winning Michael Phelps all have one thing in common. They have routines of what they do during their day and they do that same routine day after day. They follow grueling routines that require a passion to be the best and a serious discipline.
They wake up they eat a certain way at a certain time, they train at a certain time, and when they train they do certain things every day. They set their life up full of ways to do nothing but succeed and they rarely ever get off their routine. No disrespect, but this might have even showed with Tiger and his woman scandal, they were just a part of his routine.
I have found for myself my life goes best when I stick to a routine. I decide when I am going to eat, when I will do homework, when I will relax, when I will rehab, when I will have a certain amount of water finished by and the list just goes on.
I run into athletes all the time who have the same complaint. No time, their life is their sport and school. This does not always have to be the case. If time is put into being organized with your day and your time, than there will be that much more free time in your day.
It may sound dumb but the true monsters of the athletic world run on a routine for a reason. They do it because they want purpose to everything they do in their day and they do not want to miss anything that needs to be done. There are so many things to be done in every single day but there is only so much time, and many waste this precious time that could be used on becoming a better athlete.
If you want to be a true beast, you need to have organization to your day and what you are trying to accomplish, point blank. Prevent being stressed and feeling like you are always rushing from place to place. If something is a part of your everyday routine it is not a surprise or stress you just expect it.
What You should Know Before You Wake Up
- Times You are going to train
- When you Plan to eat meals
- When you Plan to snack
- Goal time to be in your bed
- Time to relax
- Rehab that needs to be done
- When and how long you will do homework if you have any
Things to watch out for that mess up Routines
- Waking up late – DESTROY’S DAYS
- Being lazy
- Spending too much time in the relaxing part
- Not eating or snacking
- Going out with friends
- Not Sticking to the plan you set
Try me out on it. Get a set, healthy routine down that will only save you time and improve your life. Then go back to doing whatever it was you were doing and tell me how different your life is.
FAILING TO PLAN IS PLANNING TO FAIL.
