I don’t know how it came to be that Raspberries only came into my life 3 years ago?!?!

When in season, raspberries are so delicious and also very healthy! You can eat them by themselves, or put them in oatmeal or make a bowl of fruit, all great options. Raspberries and other berries, and other fruits for that matter, are excellent heart protectors, eyesight enhancers, balance and coordination helpers. They are rich in antioxidants, fiber, vitamins C, and help prevent heart disease, cancer, and obesity.

Raspberries, as well as blueberries, contain lots of flavonoids. (The plants pigment that dye your fingers red and blue when you are eating fresh ones.) The flavonoids act as antioxidants that help prevent cancer by inhibiting the attack of cancer cells into the healthy cells. Flavonoids also support your hearts health by declining the inflammation that can lead to atherosclerosis.

Here’s a healthy raspberry recipe to try out - Apple-Raspberry Crisp

Now that just looks and sounds delicious or (you knew it was coming) BERRYLICIOUS!
